Introducing New Feature : Substitute Player
We heard you! We are so excited to announce that Striker is finally rolling out the most asked feature by the community ~ Substitute Player for all of its users!
In selected Pro & Paid Fantasy lobbies of Indian T20 League, you will now be able to add an extra player in your team and increase your chances of winning by earning more fantasy points. And guess what, you can also stand a chance to win big Cash rewards 🔥
What is Substitute Player?
The Substitute Player rule allows the team to make one in-game tactical substitution for each match. This means you can now add 5 main players + 1 substitute player = 6 total players in your fantasy team
What are the benefits of Substitute Player?
- Substitute player allows you to add one more player in the team apart from the main 5 players
- Earn more points by adding extra player and increase your chances of winning
How can I add Substitute Player in my team?
- Head over to Striker Fantasy and create your team
- On the team preview screen, you will be able to see an Substitute Player window
- You can select Substitute Player in your team only when the line up is out
- If you are making a team before line up announcement, then you turn on the reminder to add Substitute Player. When the line up announced, you will receive a push notification to add Substitute Player
- Select the player from substitutes that you wish to add as Substitute Player and register your team
Rules for selecting Substitute Player
- You can select only 1 Substitute Player from a pool of 8 Substitute players
- The Substitute Player can be selected as the captain
- Selection of an Substitute Player would NOT be mandatory
- If you have selected a player out of the 8 substitute players in their team of 5, you would not be allowed to select the same player
How will the points get calculated for team creation?
Case I: You don’t select an Substitute Player
Points will be calculated as usual, no change
Case II: You select an Substitute Player AND that player plays
The Substitute Player’s points will simply be added to your total team points of from the moment the substitute player begins to play in the match till -
- The end of the match
- Incase of injury, up until they are replaced by another substitute player
Case III: You select an Substitute Player AND that player does not play
- In this case, no additional points would be added to the team
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q. How many points the Substitute Player will earn?
A. Substitute Player will earn points based the type of card it is. If you use a rare card, you will earn points based on the runs that player scores, and the rarity multiplier.
Q. Why can’t I add Substitute Player a day before match?
A. You can only add Substitute Player in the team after a line up announcement. The feature is made that way because 8 Substitute Player (4 from each team), get announced 30 mins before the match.
Q. Isn’t it unfair for the users who don’t add Substitute Player? They don’t get extra points.
A. It’s not unfair because there is always a chance that selected Substitute Player may play or may not.
Q. Can I make my Substitute Player a captain?
A. Yes, you can!
